We learn a little bit more about Clara. The other main characters are coming soon.

The teacher is surprisingly perceptive. She caught the whole comic trick. Darn. Guess I can't try it now.

Yeah, she wasn't born yesterday. XD But she doesn't mind that much-she likes Clara. Alot of "teen" stories tend to villian-ize the teachers, and I didn't want to do that. When I was in school, most of my friends were with the staff.

good to see a teacher presented as a person. :) Too often they're portrayed badly (disney's tv shows anyone?) I'm proud of you for breaking out of the predictable.

Same here, I was friends with most of my teachers.

Most of my Teachers were horrid. But I was a poor kid growing up in the 70s, so that may have had a lot to do with it.

Ann Francis, eh? One of my favorite beauties of the silver screen. ;)

I'm real sorry to hear that. :(

I'm surprised you caught that. XD I like slipping in easter eggs.

Aww, well she seems like a nice teacher.
Really love how the words flow in this page.

Though I did catch a few mistakes:

Panel2: 'Alot' = My pet peeve; Should be 'A lot'

Panel4: 'Nebby' or 'Naggy'? Wasn't sure if Nebby was a spelling mistake.

Panel9: 'Did I' probably should be changed to 'Didn't I'

Yeah, I think it gets a bit old when the teachers in "teen" stories are villainized.

I guess "nebby" is a Pittsburgh-ese word. XD But that's what it means, "to nag".

One Doomy didn't mention, by the way, is that in this case, "everyday" should be "every day" ("everyday" is a word, but in this case "every day" is more accurate), but it's a small detail which isn't really that important. :P

The dialogue on this page made me laugh out loud! Very nice. :)

I would like to add my support to having awesome teachers--I didn't go to a public school, instead going to a hybrid school which combined public schooling with home-schooling, allowing me to get the best of both worlds.

I never had trouble with bullies (which in normal school I did), and all the teachers were legitimately there to help, as if I was their own child.

(And my mother, of course, was also helpful in teaching me. Before she had kids, she was a teacher, so she was rather competent at the home-schooling half.)

You've got a' great ear/eye for dialogue, it feels so real and not forced, and each character has their own personality, this is very awesome!
