Tyler doesn't want to start trouble...

Also, some people have been wondering why Tyler doesn't stand up to Harry here, and Centcomm and I had a brief dissussion about it too, so here's my two cents.

It's kind of like when you play video games. I have no qualms about beating people up in a video game, because I know it's fake. But I wouldn't do that in real life.

So here, Tyler's able to face monsters and "possessed" people because a.) his life is in danger, so he absolutely MUST act. And b.) most of the monsters (like the one he fought in the previous episode) are faceless, or he doesn't really know these people. So it's easier for him to fight back.

But Harry is someone he knows personally, and has a history with. And Harry is also someone who has backup (his other jock friends), so even if Tyler DID face up to Harry, he'd have to contend with the rest of the team potentially ganging up on him too.

But not wanting to spoil too much, Harry WILL get what's coming to him eventually.

To not get involved may be the smart thing to do...but is it the RIGHT thing to do? That is the question.

Something tells me that there's going to be a green alert soon D:
And I can find myself agreeing with C.K.'s logic.

God, do I hate Harry. DX I hope karma bites him in the ass. HARD.

And even though Tyler should still speak up, I can see why he's scared to.

My personal stance on it, is that when it comes to sticking up for yourself, it's generally not worth it. Fighting would compromise your beliefs more than just letting the idiot jerks be idiotic jerks. :P

...But when it comes to sticking up for OTHERS, it is worth the effort. To NOT fight would be a compromise of your beliefs. ;)

That's a very good point; one that I would take to heart, especially considering I know you've taken martial arts. :)

It is definitely wise to pick your battles, but it should be a decision based on your convictions and not fear. I'm reminded of the movie "Big Jake". McCandles (John Wayne) was going to mind his own business when he saw a lynching taking place until he saw one of the mob kick a little boy. That was too much, and Jake made it his business to interfere. I hope Tyler finds that sometimes you just have to get involved.

That's a really good point there. We'll see how Tyler handles this in the later pages.
