Glad you thought so. It seemed some people were starting to get a bit annoyed with how stand offish Clara was, so I knew this was the episode that would set it all straight.

Thanks; I'm slowly getting better now. You're very lucky, but I hope your family gets better too.

In a way, Clara had it coming. Reporting the drug use was necessary, but plastering it all over the front page, along with photos, was over the top and bad form to boot.

The school officials could have dealt with the problem without all the negative fall-out that occured from doing it Clara's way.

It was kind of vindictive. She's lucky Bridget didn't whop the tar out of her.

A good example of why the Lone Wolf approach is usually a bad option. Discussion with the appropriate parties would have been a far better idea.

Granted, Clara's only a kid. But still...

Jamie might be best served to try and create communication between Clara and Bridget. That way, healing might begin.

You've got a good point, and yeah; it was a serious, beginner's mistake on Clara's part.

Although, I really think that in the end, it wouldn't have mattered. The truth would've gotten out one way or another, and we'd still be at the point we are now. I based this off of similar incidents occuring at other schools in the local media, and no matter how it's handled, the truth that a teacher or student had illegal sex or was using drugs will shake up the entire school. And Clara was the only witness, so I'm sure the students still would've figured out who the snitch was.

It just frustrates me that, in real life, for how many of these kinds of incidents that are reported, there's got to be plenty more that are going unreported, and might never even BE reported, either due to fear or personal pride and image for the school or sports team, or whatever. We need more people who are brave enough to come right out and say "this is what's happening, it's wrong, and you all need to know about it."

Did Clara cross the line? Arguably, yes. But she knowingly took a huge risk and made a great sacrifice so everyone knew the truth.

very nice back story makes a lot more sense now why Bridgie dislikes clara so much and wishes to make her life a living hell ..
but yeah in a adult world Clara could have been facing a massive lawsuit for defimation of charcter and pain and suffering .. lawyers love that crap.

People were wondering why, so this episode was mainly designed to explain everything.

And for my response to that, I pretty much explained it in my response to vwyler.
