And a certain red head makes another apperance...and yes, Clara, you SHOULD apologize.

The angle of her face from a distance looks a bit weird, but that's a tricky one. What art program do you use, anyway? You know how to use it really well! *curious*
KarToon12 22nd Feb 2012, 4:47 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, I'm still practicing how to do different angles on people, to keep it visually interesting.

I use Manga Studio. It's a step below photoshop, but a few steps above MS Paint, and it's really easy to learn how to use. ^^ I think I picked it up at Office Max for just $30.

Oooohhhh Manga Studio! I use Manga Studio Debut 4 for sketching/inking. Debut I find really hard to color with and use Gimp :)
KarToon12 23rd Feb 2012, 6:35 PM edit delete reply
I've got that same one; Debut 4. ^^ But that's the only program I got, so I use it to color and everything. XD

If you have the latest manga studio 4 it has very usefull word balloons and tails that might make things easier. It's very convenient that's why I use it.
KarToon12 23rd Feb 2012, 6:36 PM edit delete reply
I'll have to see if there's an updated one to download; I've had this version for a long while now.

And I actually make the "tails" for the balloons in MS Paint. For some reason, I can't get them to work right in Manga Studio. ^^;;;

As Low said. We use Manga Studio for the majority of our work. We can't color there however. Just doesn't get the job done. We use photoshop for that. I love the flashback, how you faded it into Clara's hair. Very creative.
Darthdespario 22nd Feb 2012, 4:49 PM edit delete reply
Yay! another page ^^
I really like the flashback, it works really well. I also like the flow of the page. The art may not be the most amazing thing ever, but you know how to lay out a good page :)

Oh, and one thing. *smacks the cheerleader* you're a jerk Bridget, stop it dagnabit!

One suggestion I have for future pages is that you should make female chins more rounded or pointy, the squared side view makes them look kinda masculine. In panel three, the only way I can tell JJ is female is her chest. She looks like a guy otherwise.

edit: I hope my constructive comments aren't being too mean. I actually do enjoy reading your comic :) I just want you to be the best you can be.
KarToon12 23rd Feb 2012, 6:41 PM edit delete reply
Thanks. I've seen plenty of different layouts from reading different comics and manga, so I've been experimenting with different styles of storytelling.

I'm with you there. But don't worry; Bridget's just more of an annoyance than anything else. XD

I see what you mean; that's something I'm still practicing with and trying not to do. Sometimes I get it right, and sometimes it doesn't look right to me and the chin ends up coming out more square. But thanks for pointing it out, because I AM working to fix that.

Oh no, you're fine. :) I like those kinds of comments; they help me get better. ^^

Ah, to get a "do over" for high school.
But if I do get one, I also want to be unconscious throughout the entire experience.
KarToon12 23rd Feb 2012, 6:36 PM edit delete reply
I'm with ya' there! XD

Oh man. Those snobby cheerleaders! lol

Nice work!

Don't worry; Bridget'll be the butt of a few jokes in future episodes. XD

She's a little brooder, that Clara. ;)

I have to nit-pick (sorry, I'm rather particular about the English language.

It's "definitely".
